The traditional bowl design is too deep for cats. It blocks their field of view and irritates their whiskers (often called whisker stress or whisker fatigue). Plates and saucers are too shallow, often resulting in a mess all over your floor. This low profile design is a carefully balanced mix between a bowl and a saucer. It’s deep enough to contain food, but shallow enough to be comfortable for your cat. The bottom corners are rounded, which prevents food from getting caught and helps with ease of cleaning. Don’t worry though – there’s still plenty of flat bottom area to keep the bowls stable.
